As NPC is 100% online, there are no charges for room and board.

Textbooks

100-level paralegal courses use NPC's custom-developed online courseware. Access to this courseware is included in your tuition.

For other courses, you will need to purchase textbooks. Textbook costs vary from course to course; the estimated average cost of a new (unused) textbook is $75 per course. A detailed list of the textbooks required for each course, with links to retailers from which they can be purchased, can be found here. Some online retailers also offer used textbooks, and the NPC message boards include a forum for students looking to buy used textbooks from fellow students. This can significantly bring the cost down.

As NPC is 100% online, there are no charges for room and board.

Transfer Credit Policy

Transfer credit is accepted at NPC, within the limits specified in each program description, provided that the credits were earned from one of the following:

  • a course taken at a nationally or regionally accredited college on which the student earned a grade of "C" or above
  • a method recommended for credit by the American Council on Education (such as CLEP exams or certain advanced placement credits)

There is a residency exception for active duty service members.


Military Tuition Assistance

Use your Montgomery GI Bill® Benefits at NPC

Department of Veterans Affairs National Paralegal College is approved by the State Approving Agency of the Arizona Office of Veterans' Education. Eligible veterans are encouraged to contact the Veterans Administration to find out how their Montgomery GI Bill benefits can be used to obtain a paralegal certificate or degree at NPC.

VA education benefits eligibility and payment rates vary depending on each individual's military history and educational program. Only the DVA can determine VA applications eligibility.

Per the Title 38 United States Code Section 3679(e), National Paralegal College will not impose any penalty, including the assessment of late fees, the denial of access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities, or the requirement that a covered individual borrow additional funds, on any covered individual because of the individual’s inability to meet his or her financial obligations to the institution due to the delayed disbursement funding from VA under chapter 31 or 33.

DANTES – for Active Duty Service Members

National Paralegal College is affiliated with DANTES, and active duty service members are eligible to have their tuition covered by the military. Please speak to your education services officer for more information.

Purple Heart Scholarship Fund

Purple Heart Once every two months, a full scholarship is available for a service member or veteran who has been wounded in the line of duty. Please call our office at 1-800-371-6105 or e-mail us at bursar@nationalparalegal.edu for more information.

National Paralegal College participates in the Military Tuition Assistance programs which include; Montgomery GI Bill, Post 9-11, DANTES for Active Duty Service Members, Dependents Education Assistance (DEA) and Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) and the Purple Heart Scholarship Fund. Military students may also visit https://benefits.va.gov/gibill for more information on their military benefits. Students who are entitled to Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) education benefits must make initial contact with the NPC veteran affairs certifying official. A formal application for admission to NPC should be completed before applying for VA education benefits. Application for veteran education benefits should be sent to the NPC certifying official for submission to the DVA on your behalf. VA education benefits eligibility and payment rates vary depending on each individual’s military history and educational program. Only the DVA can determine VA applications eligibility. For information, contact a DVA representative in your area, toll free at 1- 888-GI-BILL-1 (1-888-442-4551) or review https://benefits.va.gov/gibill. VA Tuition Assistance To obtain federal military tuition assistance, email or call the student services office to develop your education plan. From that point, you can submit a military Tuition Assistance request. You can currently receive 100% federal tuition assistance from military service, with a $250 cap per semester hour and a $4,500 annual limit. This maximum amount will not cover NPC’s entire tuition. If you want to apply the military tuition assistance, you will need to submit a completed authorization form to your Military Representative at least two weeks before your class start date.
