As we learn in Domestic Relations and Immigration, there are times that a person may revoke his citizenship to the United States. One of those points being that he is serving in the armed forces of another country that are engaged in hostilities against the armed forces of the United States. It seems obvious to me that if you are found in Taliban uniform with Taliban weapons you must be against the US in the actions in Afganistan. I understand the ruling by the supreme court, and at most would give him a military tribunal. Personally I agree with Justice Thomas though. He's due nothing. He lost his citizenship when he took up arms against the US.
